Journal Description

The strategic management area of the journal covers a set of managerial decisions and actions to advance our understanding of challenges and problems related to strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and competitive advantage that enhance firm performance. Major topics include corporate strategy, board involvement, firm performance, strategic decision-making processes, theory of the firm, and top management team processes. We invite original papers of theoretical and empirical nature, rooted in the disciplines of economics, management, sociology, political science, and psychology. The interdisciplinary research is encouraged to assure a comprehensive approach to the topics discussed and to advance both theory and practice.


There is no charge for having the accepted paper to be published in JSMR.
